While the festive-driven November peak softened, Hero still posted strong year-on-year momentum, reflecting improving retail demand and export traction across key global markets.
Hero MotorCorp’s December 2025 performance showed a 26.52 percent decline compared to November 2025’s 5,70,520 units, yet volumes were 42.53 percent higher than December 2024’s 2,94,152 units. Export shipments also improved month-on-month, rising from 33,970 units in November to 37,236 units in December, underlining growing international demand for Hero’s portfolio.

Recently, Hero refreshed its sporty 160cc commuter, the Xtreme 160R 4V, introducing a new design and a segment-first feature that strengthens its appeal among young urban riders. These updates are expected to support sustained volumes in the premium commuter space through early 2026.
Honda maintained its second position with December 2025 sales of 3,92,306 units. This was a 26.49 percent drop from November 2025’s 5,33,645 units but represented a strong 44.81 percent growth over December 2024’s 2,70,919 units. Honda’s exports slipped slightly to 53,742 units from 57,491 units in the previous month. The company is preparing to introduce the Rebel 300 in India and is also developing a new locally produced electric scooter aimed at improving on its first-generation EV offerings.
TVS Motor Company recorded 3,30,362 units in December 2025, marking a 9.64 percent decline from November’s 3,65,608 units but a significant 53.60 percent rise over December 2024’s 2,15,075 units. The figures do not include the iQube electric scooter, one of India’s highest-selling e-scooters. TVS exported 1,30,709 units during the month, slightly lower than November’s 1,32,233 units. Recently, TVS added the Agonda Edition to its Ronin range and is preparing to ramp up deliveries of the Apache RTX 300 adventure motorcycle.
Bajaj Auto posted 1,32,228 units in December 2025, a 34.71 percent drop from November’s 2,02,510 units but a 3.03 percent improvement over December 2024’s 1,28,335 units. These volumes include sales of the Chetak electric scooter, one of India’s leading electric two-wheelers. Bajaj remained the country’s top exporter, shipping 1,78,125 units in December, marginally higher than 1,77,204 units in November. The company recently enhanced its Classic Pulsar models with new features ahead of a full generational update later in the year.
Suzuki stood out with a month-on-month increase, delivering 97,823 units in December 2025, up 1.52 percent from November’s 96,360 units and 24.09 percent higher than December 2024’s 78,834 units. Exports dipped slightly to 24,543 units from 25,940 units in November. Suzuki is preparing an all-new Gixxer range targeted for a late-2026 debut, while the long-awaited e-Access electric scooter is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
Royal Enfield also reported positive momentum, selling 93,177 units in December 2025, which was 3.07 percent higher than November’s 90,405 units and 37.24 percent above December 2024’s 67,891 units. Exports edged up to 10,397 units from 10,265 units in November. The company is likely to introduce the Bullet 650 soon, alongside updates for the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Goan Classic 350 featuring a slip and assist clutch.
