On January 9, Kia officially introduced the Kia EV2 Electric B-Segment SUV at the Brussels Motor Show 2026, positioning it as the brand’s most affordable entry into its rapidly growing electric vehicle portfolio. The Kia EV2 Electric B-Segment SUV will be manufactured at Kia’s Žilina production facility in Slovakia, with production starting in February 2026 for the standard-range version. Long-range and GT-Line variants are scheduled to follow from June 2026, while detailed market launch timelines will be announced closer to sales commencement.

The Kia EV2 Electric B-Segment SUV is offered with two battery configurations designed to balance range, efficiency, and cost. Both versions use a 400-volt electrical platform and support fast DC charging, enabling quick recharging during longer journeys.

Kia expands its GT electric lineup
Alongside the EV2, Kia also revealed three new high-performance electric models at the Brussels Motor Show 2026: the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT. These vehicles represent Kia’s growing emphasis on performance-focused electric mobility across multiple segments.
The EV3 GT and EV4 GT feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 215 kW, paired with an 81.4 kWh battery. The EV5 GT extends Kia’s GT performance philosophy into the C-SUV category, targeting customers seeking both sporty driving and electric efficiency.
Production of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026, further strengthening Kia’s electric vehicle lineup across compact and mid-size SUV classes.
