Quick Takeaways
  • Ultra-bright Micro-LED visibility and AI-first human–machine interaction.
  • The system turns the vehicle cabin into a connected digital workspace and entertainment hub.
BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit was officially showcased by BOE Technology Group Co. Ltd. at CES 2026, where the company presented more than 60 advanced display and IoT innovations. The spotlight remained on BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit, a next-generation in-vehicle platform built to redefine how drivers and passengers interact with digital vehicle environments.
BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit Redefines In-Car Display Technology
The BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit is an upgraded version of BOE’s HERO framework, which stands for Healthiness, Entertainment, Relaxation, and Office. The system combines automotive displays, audio technology, interactive interfaces, and connected mobility use cases into a single, fully integrated digital cockpit experience.
One of its most striking features is a Micro LED panoramic head-up display capable of reaching up to 50,000 nits of brightness, allowing critical driving and navigation data to remain clearly visible even under strong ambient light. This ultra-bright projection improves both safety and visual comfort for drivers.
AI-Powered Interaction in the BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit
At the core of the BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit is an AI-driven speech and gesture recognition system with a command recognition accuracy of up to 98 percent. This enables drivers and passengers to operate vehicle functions, media, and system settings without physical contact, supporting safer and more intuitive control while driving.
The system is further supported by a 15.6-inch automotive-grade UB Cell central display that delivers:
  • Higher contrast ratios
  • Lower surface reflections
  • Improved readability in varying lighting conditions

These features ensure that the display remains clear and comfortable across all driving environments.
Advanced Audio and Connectivity Capabilities
The BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit also introduces in-vehicle amplifiers equipped with real-time audio quality restoration technology. When combined with CDR-integrated digital broadcasting, this setup enables:
  • High-fidelity audio transmission
  • Reliable emergency communication
  • Stable performance even without 4G or 5G network access

This ensures that drivers and occupants continue to receive critical audio services even in low-connectivity regions.
Multi-Modal Displays Expand Cabin Use Cases
Beyond the main console, the BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit supports a range of multi-modal interaction methods. Users can control interior systems and selected exterior functions through the central screen, while easily switching between navigation, entertainment, and vehicle settings.
To further extend the digital cabin, BOE has integrated additional hardware such as:
  • A projection display
  • An intelligent desktop interface

These devices allow the vehicle interior to be used for productivity, entertainment, and mobility-focused applications, turning the cabin into a flexible digital workspace and leisure environment.
By combining ultra-bright displays, AI-driven interaction, premium audio, and modular digital hardware, the BOE HERO 2.0 Intelligent Cockpit demonstrates how next-generation in-vehicle technology is moving toward fully connected, immersive, and adaptive driving experiences.
