India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has introduced the Yamaha YZF-R2 India model as a new entry in its supersport range, marking the motorcycle’s global debut and extending the company’s R-series into the 200cc category. The motorcycle is offered in three variants, with introductory pricing beginning at Rs 2,30,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The mid-spec version with a bi-directional quick-shifter is priced at Rs 2,39,500, while the range-topping YZF-R2M costs Rs 2,53,000.
