- Xpeng monthly deliveries target exceeds 60,000 units.
- New SUVs and exports are expected to accelerate growth.
Xpeng monthly deliveries are expected to accelerate as the company targets monthly sales above 60,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter, supported by new SUV launches in China and stronger overseas growth. Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng said the large five-seat flagship G9L SUV will officially launch and begin deliveries in China in September, while the Mona L05 SUV is scheduled for the fourth quarter. Alongside the previously introduced GX and Mona L03, the new models are intended to expand Xpeng’s coverage across major SUV segments and materially increase deliveries during the final quarter of the year.
The 60,000-unit monthly target would mark a substantial step up from recent delivery levels. Xpeng delivered 38,027 vehicles in July, meaning the fourth-quarter target would be about 58% higher than July’s result. The company has guided for third-quarter deliveries of 115,000 to 121,000 units, equivalent to an average of roughly 38,487 to 41,487 vehicles per month across August and September. The guidance highlights the scale of the planned acceleration and places greater importance on production capacity, supply availability and the successful ramp-up of the latest models.

Xpeng delivered 103,295 vehicles in the second quarter, up 64.8% from the previous quarter, while new locked-in orders increased more than 50% sequentially in the third quarter to a record high, according to He. However, extreme weather and supply-chain issues affected production ramp-up for new models and slowed deliveries. Xpeng has responded by beginning double-shift production of the Mona L03 SUV and working with suppliers to accelerate capacity expansion. He expects deliveries of the model to increase significantly in the coming months as production constraints ease.
Xpeng’s monthly delivery history shows the scale of its recent growth and the volatility that preceded the latest expansion plan. Deliveries reached 30,350 units in January 2025 and rose to 41,581 units in September before ending 2025 at 37,508 units. In 2026, monthly deliveries climbed from 20,011 units in January to 40,126 in June, followed by 38,027 in July. The company therefore needs a sustained increase from its current run rate to exceed 60,000 monthly units in the fourth quarter, making the timing of new-model production and customer deliveries critical.
The G9L is positioned as a major product driver for that increase. Pre-sales began in China on August 11 at a starting price of 259,800 yuan, or about $38,300. The five-seat SUV is offered in battery electric vehicle and extended-range electric vehicle versions, with all six variants using an 800-volt ultra-fast-charging platform. The EREV version has a CLTC combined range of 1,602 kilometers, while the BEV version offers up to 755 kilometers. The model will compete with vehicles such as Li Auto’s Li L7 and the Huawei-backed Aito M7.
The G9L will form a dual-flagship SUV lineup with the six-seat GX, giving Xpeng broader coverage in larger SUV segments. The Mona L05 is expected to add further volume in the mid-size SUV market when it launches in the fourth quarter. According to its regulatory filing, the L05 measures 4,870 millimeters in length and has a 2,940-millimeter wheelbase. Like the G9L, the L05 will be available in BEV and EREV configurations and will sit above the already launched Mona L03. The combination gives Xpeng several new products aimed at different SUV customer groups.
Overseas markets are another important component of Xpeng’s fourth-quarter growth plan. The company expects overseas deliveries of the Mona L03 to begin in the fourth quarter and aims to lift quarterly overseas sales above 40,000 units. Xpeng’s overseas sales exceeded 20,000 vehicles for the first time in the second quarter, increasing 81% year over year, while the overseas business contributed more than 25% of revenue during the first half. He said vehicles sold overseas had an average selling price above 40,000 euros, indicating that international expansion is also supporting a higher-value sales mix.

Xpeng’s monthly export figures reinforce the momentum of its international business. Exports increased from 3,204 units in January 2026 to 9,700 units in July, compared with 2,010 and 3,000 units respectively in the same months of 2025. The company also plans to introduce multiple extended-range electric vehicle models in overseas markets in 2027. This strategy would broaden the company’s international product range beyond battery-electric models while allowing Xpeng to use the EREV configuration in markets where charging infrastructure, driving distances or consumer preferences may favor extended-range technology.
Software and assisted-driving development will also remain part of Xpeng’s product strategy. The company plans to begin rolling out the first major upgrade to its second-generation Vision-Language-Action model in late August through version 6.3.0. The on-device model will have 3.5 times as many parameters as before, while perception sensitivity is expected to increase by 300%. The update will add longer-horizon reasoning and predictive capabilities, with Xpeng also planning to integrate the VLA system with a Vision-Language Model. The company says this could bring some robotaxi capabilities to mass-produced vehicles.
Xpeng is also targeting broader international deployment of its assisted-driving technology. The company aims to obtain regulatory approval in Europe during the first half of 2027 and then begin rolling out the second-generation VLA system to users in additional overseas markets. Taken together, the planned vehicle launches, production increases, export expansion and software upgrades create several potential sources of growth. However, the 60,000-unit monthly target remains dependent on executing the production ramp-up, resolving supply-chain constraints and converting strong order momentum into completed deliveries.
