Renault has opened orders for the updated Renault 5 E-Tech electric, introducing technical and aerodynamic improvements across its 40 kWh Urban Range and 52 kWh Comfort Range versions. The updated models feature a lower body and redesigned rearview mirrors as part of the changes to the electric hatchback. The entry-level Five version of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric will receive an 80 kW motor paired with a 36.5 kWh LFP battery using cell-to-pack technology. This configuration will provide up to 305 km of range and enable acceleration from 0–50 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The Five trim will also include an 80 kW DC fast charger as standard, complementing its 6.6 kW AC onboard charger. The combination of an LFP battery, cell-to-pack technology, revised motor output and standard DC fast charging gives the entry-level version a distinct technical specification within the updated lineup.

Smart Driving Mode And Gemini AI Expand Technology Features

The updated Renault 5 E-Tech electric range will introduce Smart driving mode, which automatically switches between Eco, Comfort and Sport driving modes according to driving conditions and driving style. The range will also receive Google's Gemini AI assistant through an over-the-air update, replacing Google Assistant. These software updates add automated driving-mode selection and a new digital assistant to the vehicle's technology package.
