Quick Takeaways
  • The e-ACCESS enters India’s crowded electric scooter market with premium pricing but offsets it through long-term ownership benefits and battery longevity.
  • Suzuki is betting on LFP battery durability, strong service reach, and buy-back guarantees to compete against Ola, Ather, TVS and Bajaj.
Suzuki Motorcycle India e-ACCESS electric scooter bookings have officially opened, marking the company’s entry into India’s fast-expanding electric two-wheeler space. The e-ACCESS is priced at Rs 1,88,490 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is positioned above most mainstream electric scooters, targeting buyers who prioritise durability, technology, and long-term ownership value.
The Suzuki Motorcycle India e-ACCESS electric scooter enters a market dominated by competitively priced rivals. Bajaj Chetak, Honda Activa e, Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X all undercut Suzuki’s pricing, making the e-ACCESS one of the costliest options in the mass electric scooter segment despite offering comparable motor output.
Suzuki Motorcycle India e-ACCESS electric scooter pricing strategy
At Rs 1,88,490, the Suzuki e-ACCESS is around 58 percent more expensive than the Bajaj Chetak and about 51 percent costlier than the Ola S1 Pro. Ather 450X, positioned as a premium urban scooter, also remains cheaper. Suzuki is attempting to justify this gap through ownership-focused benefits rather than upfront affordability.
To balance the higher sticker price, Suzuki is offering a bundle of cost-saving benefits aimed at reducing the long-term expense of owning the scooter, including:
  • Extended warranty of up to 7 years or 80,000 km at no extra cost
  • Buy-back assurance of up to 60 percent of vehicle value after three years
  • Loyalty bonus of up to Rs 10,000 for existing Suzuki customers
  • Welcome bonus of up to Rs 7,000 for new buyers

These incentives lower the effective price to Rs 1,78,490 for returning Suzuki owners and Rs 1,81,490 for first-time customers, narrowing the real-world gap with premium competitors.
Performance and battery advantage of Suzuki Motorcycle India e-ACCESS
The e-ACCESS is driven by a 4.1 kW electric motor delivering 15 Nm of torque, which aligns closely with leading electric scooters in India. While Suzuki has not released official range and top-speed numbers, rivals already publish aggressive benchmarks that highlight how competitive the segment has become.
For reference, Ola S1 Pro+ Gen 3 offers a claimed 320 km range with a top speed of 141 km/h, Ather 450X delivers up to 161 km with 90 km/h, Bajaj Chetak 3503 provides 151 km, and even TVS iQube reaches around 100 km. Suzuki is instead focusing on battery longevity and reliability rather than headline figures.
A major technical differentiator is Suzuki’s use of a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. This LFP pack is designed to last up to four times longer than conventional NMC batteries and is paired with a maintenance-free drive belt rated for up to seven years or 70,000 km, positioning the e-ACCESS as a low-degradation electric scooter for long-term users.
Features, ride modes and charging ecosystem
Suzuki has equipped the e-ACCESS with Eco, Ride A and Ride B riding modes, reverse assist, and regenerative braking. Standard equipment includes LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels and an aluminium battery housing that forms part of the lightweight frame. The company also claims consistent performance even when the battery drops to 10 percent state of charge.
The scooter is available in four dual-tone shades:
  • Metallic Mat Black No.2 with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red
  • Pearl Grace White with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray
  • Pearl Jade Green with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray
  • Metallic Mat Stellar Blue with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray

Suzuki supports the e-ACCESS through more than 1,200 charging-enabled outlets across India, with DC fast chargers at over 240 locations and portable AC chargers at every dealership. Certified EV technicians have also been deployed across the service network to handle battery and drivetrain-specific requirements.
Market position of Suzuki Motorcycle India e-ACCESS
India’s electric two-wheeler market crossed 1.2 lakh unit sales in July 2025, led by TVS iQube with around 22 percent share and Bajaj Chetak close behind. Hero Vida recorded triple-digit annual growth, while Ola Electric slipped to third place after once dominating the segment.
Suzuki’s managing director Kenichi Umeda has positioned the e-ACCESS as the company’s first global strategic battery electric vehicle, highlighting long-life battery technology, agile handling and smooth acceleration as its key strengths. With bookings now open at all Suzuki dealerships and online sales planned through Flipkart, the brand is preparing for a nationwide rollout supported by its Gurugram plant, which has a production capacity of 1.3 million two-wheelers annually.
