Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that Maruti Suzuki FRONX exports have crossed the 2 lakh mark in under 38 months, making the SUV the fastest from India to achieve the milestone, according to Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) data. Export shipments began in June 2023, with the first lakh completed in under 25 months and the second lakh added in around 13 months. The FRONX is manufactured at Maruti Suzuki's Hansalpur facility in Gujarat and is exported to nearly 90 countries, including Japan. Maruti Suzuki said its wider export operations now cover 17 models and nearly 120 countries, demonstrating the scale of its overseas distribution network. The company said its export performance supports the broader Make in India, Make for the World strategy and demonstrates the strength of India's manufacturing ecosystem. Maruti Suzuki has been India's No. 1 passenger vehicle exporter for five consecutive years, as per SIAM data. Sustained international shipments have strengthened the company's position in passenger-vehicle exports, while growing year-on-year volumes indicate continued demand for its products across global markets. The FRONX milestone therefore adds to Maruti Suzuki's broader export-led manufacturing strategy and reinforces the role of Indian production facilities in serving international customers.
Top Export Models in Q1 FY26-27

Illustrating this leadership, all three of India's top exported passenger vehicles in Q1 FY 26-27 were from Maruti Suzuki. For Q1 FY26-27, Maruti Suzuki's top exported models were FRONX, Jimny 5-Door, e VITARA, Dzire and Baleno, giving the company a share of more than 55% in India's passenger vehicle exports during the quarter. The mix includes SUVs, an electric vehicle, compact cars and a sedan, reflecting the breadth of the company's international product portfolio.
