The new destinations extend an export program that previously covered South Korea, Peru, and the Philippines from 2018 to 2023, followed by Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan during 2024 and 2025.

The expansion is supported by Hyundai Thanh Cong's growing manufacturing base in Ninh Binh. The company reported cumulative production of 569,951 vehicles at its Ninh Binh facilities from the start of production through 2026, including 472,559 passenger cars and 19,068 commercial vehicles. Its operations employ about 3,300 people and involve cooperation with more than 50 suppliers.
