Maxion Wheels Introduces C-GUARD Surface Treatment

Maxion Wheels has introduced C-GUARD, a proprietary ceramic surface treatment developed for its new range of forged aluminum truck wheels. The technology platform is designed to support additional enhancements in the future while creating a permanent molecular bond with the wheel surface. This bond is intended to improve resistance to corrosion, chemicals, chipping, and cracking while maintaining high gloss and color stability. The multi-element ceramic formulation combines silicon, zirconium, aluminum, zinc, and titanium to enhance mechanical strength, chemical resistance, UV stability, and long-term durability. The treatment therefore provides a protective surface designed for demanding truck-wheel operating conditions.

Hydrophobic Protection and Production in Turkiye

C-GUARD also incorporates hydrophobic and oleophobic properties that help reduce the adhesion of water- and oil-based contaminants. These include brake dust, grease, road grime, salts, and mud, supporting a cleaner wheel surface during operation. The initial forged aluminum wheel portfolio featuring the technology will be produced at the newly established Maxion Wheels plant in Manisa, Turkiye. The facility represents a joint investment with Inci Holding, establishing the manufacturing base for the company's initial forged aluminum wheel portfolio equipped with the new ceramic surface treatment.
