On July 28, Zerluma broke ground on its USD 50 million Zerluma aluminum facility in Mission, Texas, a state-of-the-art project designed to provide aluminum material for automotive and aerospace manufacturing. Mexico-based Zerluma will recycle aluminum sourced from the United States and manufacture aluminum billets at the plant for clients in the United States, Mexico, Asia and Europe. The nearly 100,000 square-foot, highly-automated facility will be located in the Mission Expressway Business Park. The project is expected to create about 70 jobs initially, with room to expand as production grows.
