Quick Takeaways
  • Argentina’s auto wholesale market closed 2025 on a strong note, driven mainly by passenger vehicle demand.
  • Production and exports lagged sales growth, highlighting a demand–supply imbalance toward year-end.
On January 6, Argentina’s Association of Automobile Manufacturers reported a sharp rebound in wholesale activity, with ADEFA Argentina vehicle sales reaching 51,355 units in December. This marked a 45.7% increase compared with November and a 3.8% rise over December of the previous year, highlighting improved year-end market momentum.
Passenger vehicles accounted for the majority of December volumes, with 40,544 units sold. This represented a 19.5% year-on-year increase. Commercial vehicle wholesales totaled 10,811 units during the month, reflecting a 30.4% decline compared with the same period last year, indicating uneven demand across segments.
