Ford Motor Company U.S. Sales Mark Best Results Since 2019
Ford Motor Company U.S. sales achieved their best fourth-quarter and annual performance since 2019. The company outpaced the broader industry by offering a wide mix of trim levels and powertrain options designed to appeal to diverse customer needs. Entry-level variants played a critical role in attracting value-conscious buyers across multiple segments.
Entry-Level Pickups Drive Volume Growth
Affordable pickup models delivered exceptional momentum during the quarter and the full year. Strong demand for compact and midsize trucks highlighted the effectiveness of Ford’s pricing and product positioning strategy.
  • Maverick XL sales grew 105.1 percent in Q4 and 29.5 percent for the year
  • Ranger XL sales increased 62.9 percent in Q4 and 82.3 percent annually
These gains underline rising consumer preference for accessible utility-focused vehicles.
Electrified Vehicle Trends Show Mixed Signals
Electric vehicle volumes declined sharply in the fourth quarter following the expiration of EV tax incentives. Q4 EV sales fell 51.9 percent to 14,513 units, although full-year EV sales decreased a more moderate 14.1 percent to 84,113 vehicles.
Despite the slowdown, the Mustang Mach-E recorded 51,620 units sold in 2025, aligning with its record performance achieved the previous year and reinforcing its position as a core EV offering.
Hybrid and ICE Models Strengthen Portfolio Balance
Ford’s diversified powertrain strategy continued to deliver results across hybrid and internal combustion engine segments. Hybrid vehicle sales rose 17.6 percent in Q4 to 55,374 units and increased 21.7 percent to 228,072 units for the full year.
ICE-powered vehicles also posted healthy growth, with Q4 sales up 4.8 percent to 475,329 units and annual volumes reaching 1,891,939 units, up 5.5 percent. This balanced approach enabled Ford to surpass the combined electrified sales volumes of key domestic competitors.
