Simple Energy Gen 2 Electric Scooter Lineup Launches in India

Recently, Simple Energy Gen 2 electric scooter models were unveiled, expanding the company’s portfolio with four offerings aimed at distinct urban and performance-focused riders. The headline addition is the Simple Ultra, positioned as a long-range, high-performance electric scooter, while updated Gen 2 versions of the Simple One and Simple OneS address everyday commuting needs with enhanced features and efficiency.
Simple Energy Gen 2 Electric Scooter: Simple Ultra Highlights
The Simple Ultra anchors the Simple Energy Gen 2 electric scooter range with a claimed IDC-certified range of 400 km. It is equipped with a 6.5 kWh battery, which the company states is the largest capacity used in an electric scooter in India. Performance figures include a top speed of 115 kmph and 0–40 kmph acceleration in 2.77 seconds, placing it just below the brand’s quickest model.
According to the company’s leadership, the Simple Ultra targets riders who prioritise extended range and strong performance without compromise, reflecting a growing demand for premium electric two-wheelers in India.
Updated Simple One and OneS Gen 2 Variants
The Gen 2 refresh also brings meaningful upgrades to existing models. The Simple One Gen 2 is offered in two battery options:

• 4.5 kWh battery with a claimed 236 km range, priced at Rs 1,69,999

• 5 kWh battery delivering up to 265 km range, priced at Rs 1,77,999

The Simple OneS Gen 2 offers a 190 km range at Rs 1,49,999, with a limited introductory price starting at Rs 1,39,999.
Design, Hardware, and Feature Enhancements
Across the Simple Energy Gen 2 electric scooter lineup, kerb weight has been reduced by 8 kg to 129 kg for the Simple One variants, while peak motor output has increased to 8.8 kW. Practical upgrades focus on comfort, storage, and ride control, including:

• 1-litre glove box and dedicated charging port

• Traction control and four-level regenerative braking

• Cruise control and expanded 35-litre underseat storage

• Lowered seat height of 780 mm for improved accessibility

Connectivity, Safety, and Warranty Coverage
The Simple One Gen 2 features a 7-inch touchscreen dashboard, while the OneS Gen 2 uses a non-touch display. Both scooters support 5G e-SIM connectivity, Bluetooth, navigation, and over-the-air software updates, along with IP65-rated protection for all-weather usage.
Warranty coverage includes:

• 8-year motor warranty

• 3-year or 30,000 km vehicle warranty

• 3-year or 20,000 km charger warranty

Charging is supported via a portable 750W home charger supplied with the scooters.
Sales Network and Future Plans
Simple Energy currently operates more than 61 showrooms across multiple Indian cities and also retails through leading e-commerce platforms. The company plans to scale its presence to around 150 dealerships and 200 service centres by March 2026, supporting wider adoption of its electric scooters.
Founded in 2019, the company is preparing for a public listing in FY27 and is targeting operational profitability before the end of FY26. The Simple One Gen 2 and Simple OneS Gen 2 are available immediately, while the Simple Ultra’s market availability timeline has not yet been announced.
