Hero MotoCorp has strengthened its electric mobility portfolio by introducing the Vida VX2 Plus 4.4 kWh scooter variant. The new long-range model is priced at an effective ex-showroom cost of ₹1.43 lakh in New Delhi and broadens the company's localized VX2 lineup to four battery and performance configurations. The latest addition is designed to provide customers with greater flexibility by offering multiple range options and ownership choices while expanding the brand's presence in the growing electric two-wheeler market.
Vida VX2 Plus Expands Battery and Charging Capabilities
The scooter is equipped with a total battery capacity of 4.4 kWh using two removable 2.2 kWh lithium-ion battery packs. It delivers an Indian Driving Cycle certified range of 187 km. Charging support includes a 1 kW portable charger capable of replenishing the battery from zero to 80 percent in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Users can also access DC fast-charging infrastructure that restores the battery to 80 percent capacity in just 65 minutes. Across India, the Vida ecosystem is supported by more than 6,000 fast-charging stations and over 700 service touchpoints.
Performance and Connected Features
The electric powertrain produces 6 kW of peak power and 26 Nm of torque, allowing the scooter to reach a top speed of 90 km/h. Riders can choose between Eco, Ride, and Sports riding modes depending on their preferences. The feature package includes a 4.3-inch TFT instrument display, smartphone connectivity, over-the-air software updates, turn-by-turn navigation, 27.2 litres of under-seat storage, and a combined braking system, providing a blend of practicality and connected riding convenience.

Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer of the Emerging Mobility Business Unit at Hero MotoCorp, stated that the company's multi-variant strategy is intended to provide customers with a wider selection of range options while also supporting alternative Battery-as-a-Service ownership models. This approach enables buyers to select battery configurations and ownership plans that better match their usage requirements.
Record-Breaking Endurance and Deliveries
Before commercial launch, a pre-production Vida scooter secured recognition in the Asia Book of Records by completing a continuous 12,111 km cross-country endurance journey over 52 days, establishing the longest electric scooter ride recorded by the organization. The company plans to begin nationwide customer deliveries through its authorized dealership network by the end of July 2026.
