IM Motors 2025 Sales Growth Driven by Range-Extender Technology

On January 1, 2026, IM Motors announced its full-year 2025 performance, reporting total sales of 81,017 vehicles, marking the highest annual volume in the brand’s history. Since September, monthly deliveries have consistently exceeded 10,000 units for four consecutive months, setting a new internal benchmark. December also became a milestone month as the company achieved full-cost profitability for the first time, signaling entry into a more stable earnings phase.
Stellar Range-Extender Technology Powers IM Motors 2025 Sales
The strong momentum behind IM Motors 2025 sales is closely linked to the commercial rollout of the Stellar super range-extender technology. Jointly developed with battery partners, the system integrates a 66 kWh Super Xiaoyao MAX battery, currently positioned as the largest mass-produced battery used in range-extended electric vehicles. The configuration delivers a CLTC pure-electric driving range of up to 450 km and a total combined range exceeding 1,500 km.
Supported by an 800V ultra-fast charging architecture, the powertrain enables vehicles to gain approximately 310 km of driving range in just 15 minutes. This combination addresses both range limitations and charging concerns, particularly benefiting customers in colder regions, users without private charging access, and those transitioning from conventional internal combustion vehicles.
IM LS6 and LS9 Models Anchor Volume and Premium Positioning
Product performance has been another decisive factor supporting IM Motors 2025 sales. The IM LS6 and IM LS9 emerged as the brand’s core growth drivers, together covering the CNY 200,000 to CNY 300,000 price range.

• IM LS6 positioned as the only 800V large-battery range-extended model in the RMB 200,000 segment and secured more than 10,000 confirmed orders within 27 minutes of pre-sales, recording 46,058 units sold in the first 11 months and contributing 66.6% of total brand volume

• IM LS9 targets the higher CNY 300,000 segment, equipped with the Lingxi Digital Chassis 3.0 and dual-motor all-wheel drive, delivering 0–100 km/h acceleration in around four seconds and achieving 5,000 firm orders within 25 minutes of launch

Together, these models have enabled IM Motors to strengthen its presence in higher-value segments while maintaining volume momentum.
International Expansion Supports Long-Term IM Motors Growth
Beyond domestic performance, IM Motors 2025 sales were reinforced by rapid overseas expansion. During its first year of exports, the brand entered 16 international markets across Southeast Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Initial overseas order volumes surpassed internal expectations, highlighting growing global interest in extended-range electric vehicle solutions.
2026 Roadmap Focused on Smart Chassis and Autonomous Driving
Looking ahead, IM Motors plans to accelerate mass production of its by-wire chassis systems and expand deployment of Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. The company will continue refining its product portfolio, advancing its intelligent driving software, and deepening integration between cockpit systems and automated driving functions, while further extending its global footprint.
