On December 15, Dongfeng officially introduced the Dongfeng Nammi 06 electric SUV in Costa Rica, expanding its electric vehicle footprint in the Central American market. The mid-size electric SUV targets urban and family-focused buyers with a combination of competitive range, advanced safety features, and attractive pricing.
Powered by a front-mounted electric motor, the Dongfeng Nammi 06 electric SUV delivers 181 hp and 290 Nm of torque. Energy is supplied by a 44.94 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, enabling an estimated driving range of up to 401 km. The vehicle supports Eco, Comfort, and Sport driving modes, along with automatic regenerative braking to enhance efficiency during everyday driving.
Battery, Charging, and Energy Features
Charging flexibility is a key highlight of the Dongfeng Nammi 06 electric SUV. Fast charging enables the battery to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes, while a full AC charge takes close to eight hours. The model also supports vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle functionality, allowing owners to power external devices or charge another electric vehicle when required.
Dimensions, Interior, and Practicality
Measuring 4.3 meters in length, 1.86 meters in width, and 1.64 meters in height, the SUV features a 2.71-meter wheelbase that supports interior space and comfort. A 500-liter cargo area with a dual-section tailgate enhances practicality. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 12.8-inch central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster designed for intuitive access to vehicle information.

Safety remains a strong focus for the Dongfeng Nammi 06 electric SUV, with ADAS Level 2 offered as standard across both variants. Key systems include:
