- Škoda expands Kushaq lineup with new trims, features, and segment-first automatic transmission
- Enhanced safety, new colors, and strong sales growth reinforce Skoda’s India strategy
The Škoda Auto India Kushaq SUV pricing update marks a significant step in strengthening the brand’s position in the competitive mid-size SUV segment. Škoda Auto India has introduced revised pricing alongside feature enhancements and expanded trim offerings. The refreshed model now starts at ₹10,69,000 (ex-showroom) for the 1.0 TSI variant, while the higher-performance 1.5 TSI DSG version is priced from ₹18,79,000, reflecting a broader value proposition for buyers in India.
Expanded Variant Lineup and Transmission Options
The updated SUV is now available across five trims—Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo—providing wider customization for customers. The model continues with a turbocharged petrol-only lineup, ensuring consistent performance across variants. A key highlight is the introduction of an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission, described as a segment-first feature, now offered from the entry-level Classic+ trim alongside the existing six-speed manual gearbox.
Engine Performance and Efficiency Enhancements
The 1.0 TSI engine generates 85 kW of power and 178 Nm of torque, delivering fuel efficiency figures of 19.66 km/l for manual and 19.09 km/l for automatic configurations. Meanwhile, the 1.5 TSI engine produces 110 kW and 250 Nm of torque and is paired exclusively with a seven-speed DSG transmission. It also incorporates Active Cylinder Technology, which shuts down two cylinders during low-load conditions to optimize fuel consumption without compromising driving performance.
Fuel Efficiency and Power Comparison
The combination of turbocharging and efficiency-focused technologies ensures a balance between performance and economy across variants. The inclusion of cylinder deactivation further strengthens the appeal of the higher engine option for long-distance driving and urban efficiency.
Safety Upgrades and Feature Additions
The model retains its Global NCAP 5-star safety rating while expanding its safety package to over 40 standard features. New additions include rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper with defogger, and auto-dimming interior mirrors. Even the base Classic+ variant comes equipped with six airbags, LED lighting, electric sunroof, Climatronic automatic air conditioning, and a 17.7 cm infotainment system, enhancing entry-level value.
Premium Features in Higher Variants
Top trims introduce segment-focused innovations such as a rear seat massager, panoramic sunroof, and a 26.03 cm digital cockpit display. Additional features include ventilated front seats and all-wheel disc brakes for 1.5 TSI Prestige and Monte Carlo variants. The Monte Carlo edition further distinguishes itself with sporty design cues like red brake callipers and blacked-out styling elements.
Ownership Benefits and Warranty Package
All variants are bundled with the Škoda Super Care program, which includes a four-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty, roadside assistance for four years, and four labour-free services within the first two years or 30,000 kilometres. Additional coverage includes a six-year corrosion warranty and a three-year paint warranty, with options to extend coverage up to eight years, enhancing long-term ownership confidence.
Color Options and Market Performance
The refreshed SUV is available in eight exterior colors, including new additions such as Shimla Green, Steel Grey, and Cherry Red, alongside existing options like Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, and Deep Black. On the business front, the company reported sales of 72,665 units in 2025, representing a 107% year-on-year increase, supported by an expanding network of 325 customer touchpoints across 184 cities.
The latest update reinforces the brand’s strategy of combining performance, safety, and feature-rich offerings to strengthen its footprint in India’s growing passenger vehicle market.
