The Egypt government has approved the MAC integrated vehicle factory Egypt project after granting the company a golden licence to build a comprehensive automotive manufacturing facility. Announced by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade on March 14, the initiative will enable the company MAC to produce and assemble gasoline, electric, and hybrid vehicles along with light transport models. The planned facility represents a significant step in expanding domestic automotive manufacturing capacity while supporting industrial development and employment creation within the country.

The project involves an investment of approximately EGP 6.35 billion and is expected to create about 1,000 job opportunities once operational. Construction is planned in Sixth of October City, one of the country’s major industrial zones. Authorities indicated that implementation is targeted to begin in January 2027.
