Hydrovolt has entered into the BMW Group Norway EV battery recycling partnership to manage end-of-life batteries from electric vehicles operating across the Norwegian market. Under this agreement, discarded batteries from BMW Group electric models will be collected and transferred for specialized processing. The collaboration focuses on establishing an efficient and environmentally responsible recycling pathway in Norway, ensuring that EV battery materials are recovered and reintegrated into the circular value chain while maintaining high operational safety and traceability standards.
Battery Collection and Recycling Process
The cooperation includes the organized collection of used EV batteries from multiple locations across the country. Once gathered, the batteries are transported to Hydrovolt’s recycling facility located in Fredrikstad, where they undergo diagnostic evaluation and controlled processing. The facility applies advanced handling and material recovery procedures designed to safely dismantle battery units while separating valuable raw materials for reuse within the battery supply chain.
