Volkswagen and XPeng have reached a new milestone in their electric mobility partnership as the ID UNYX 08 electric SUV rolled off the production line at the Volkswagen Anhui plant on March 13. The vehicle represents the first jointly developed model between the German automaker and the Chinese EV technology company. Positioned as a full-size battery electric SUV, the model is expected to reach the market during the first half of 2026, marking an important step in Volkswagen’s accelerated electrification strategy in China.
