The Jetour T2 SUV Malaysia launch marked the arrival of the brand’s rugged mid-size sport utility vehicle in the Southeast Asian market. Introduced on March 13, 2026, the locally assembled CKD model carries an on-the-road price of MYR 157,669 excluding insurance. An early-bird rebate of MYR 2,000 is available for the first 3,000 vehicle registrations. Within the first 24 hours of the announcement, the SUV secured 368 bookings, signaling strong initial demand for the off-road-styled model from Jetour in Malaysia.
Powertrain, Dimensions and Safety Features
The SUV, marketed as the Traveller in certain global markets, is offered locally in a single 2.0TD XWD variant. It uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 245 PS and 375 Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. The five-seat vehicle measures 4,785 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. Fuel consumption is rated at 7.9 L/100 km, qualifying it as an energy-efficient vehicle for its 1,880 kg weight class, while safety equipment includes six airbags and a Level 2 advanced driver assistance package.
