Quick Takeaways
  • Ferrari introduces Amalfi Spider convertible powered by a 640 hp twin-turbo V8 engine.
  • The model features retractable soft-top design, advanced digital cockpit, and active aerodynamics.

Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari introduced the Ferrari Amalfi Spider on March 11, presenting a new two-plus-seat convertible developed in Maranello. Designed for high-performance open-air driving, the model combines traditional grand touring characteristics with modern cockpit technology and aerodynamic engineering. The Ferrari Amalfi Spider uses a front-mid-mounted 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the F154 engine family, delivering 640 hp at 7,500 rpm while maintaining the brand’s emphasis on balanced performance and driver engagement.

Convertible Design and V8 Performance Architecture

The Ferrari Amalfi Spider integrates a retractable soft-top system engineered for everyday usability and high-speed touring. The roof can open in approximately 13.5 seconds while driving at speeds up to 60 km/h. Ferrari developed a compact folding mechanism that allows practical luggage space, offering 255 litres when the roof is closed and 172 litres when open. A five-layer fabric roof structure enhances acoustic insulation and thermal protection, ensuring passenger comfort while preserving the vehicle’s lightweight convertible architecture.

Digital Cockpit and Active Aerodynamic Systems

The interior layout of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider integrates instrumentation and air vents into a unified design, complemented by a machined aluminium central tunnel housing key vehicle controls. Ferrari also reintroduced physical buttons on the steering wheel to improve usability and tactile interaction. The cockpit includes a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch central multimedia touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch passenger display. Additional performance technologies include brake-by-wire braking, ABS Evo stability control, a three-position active rear wing, and a wind deflector that enhances driving stability and comfort during open-roof operation.
