Chinese automaker GAC Group has announced plans to introduce the GAC AION V electric crossover in the Russian market, with sales scheduled to begin in March 2026. The move represents the company’s continued international expansion strategy in the electric vehicle sector. Positioned as a compact urban crossover, the model aims to offer a balance of performance, driving range, and fast-charging capability tailored to modern electric mobility demands.

GAC AION V Electric Crossover Specifications and Performance

The GAC AION V electric crossover measures 4,605 mm in length, 1,854 mm in width, and 1,686 mm in height, placing it within the compact crossover segment. The vehicle is built on the AION Electric Platform (AEP 3.0), which is designed specifically for battery-electric vehicles. Power is delivered through a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp (150 kW) and 210 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.9 seconds.

Battery Technology and Driving Range

The model is equipped with a patented 75.26 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery incorporating Magazine Battery 2.0 technology. This battery pack provides a driving range of up to 580 km under the NEDC testing cycle. It also supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in about 24 minutes. GAC Group stated that detailed information regarding pricing, equipment levels, and available configurations will be announced once the vehicle officially launches in the Russian market.
