- The electric SUV offers a 78 kWh battery, up to 484 km WLTP range, and 195 kW fast charging.
The Mazda CX-6e electric SUV has officially entered the Spanish market with pre-sales opening ahead of its expected dealership arrival in summer 2026. Announced by Mazda Spain on March 10, the fully electric SUV represents a key step in the company’s European electrification strategy. Designed to meet regional driving expectations, the model combines long driving range, fast charging capability, and advanced in-vehicle digital technology for the passenger car segment.
Powertrain, Battery and Charging Performance
The Mazda CX-6e electric SUV features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 258 hp and 290 Nm of torque. Energy is supplied by a 78 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that enables a driving range of up to 484 km under the WLTP test cycle in the Takumi variant equipped with 19-inch wheels. The system supports DC fast charging up to 195 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 24 minutes, while standard AC charging operates at 11 kW. The powertrain calibration was carried out by Mazda’s European research and development team in Germany to optimize performance for regional driving conditions.
Digital Cockpit and Safety Systems
The interior integrates a large 26-inch 5K panoramic touchscreen that acts as the central interface for infotainment and vehicle functions. The system supports voice recognition and gesture control with seven operational commands, while the Takumi Plus trim offers optional digital mirrors. A premium audio system with 23 speakers enhances the in-vehicle experience. Safety technologies include Smart Brake Support, Traffic and Cruise Assist, Emergency Lane Keeping, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, rear child presence detection, nine airbags, and a network of cameras, radars, and sensors designed to support active driver assistance systems.
The starting price for the Takumi version of the model has been set at EUR 46,200 in Spain, positioning the electric SUV as a competitive offering in the European mid-size battery electric vehicle segment.
