The XPeng 2026 G6 SUV was officially introduced on March 6 as a midsize coupe-style electric SUV designed to combine long-range electrified performance with advanced artificial intelligence technologies. The new model is offered in one range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) version priced at CNY 186,800 and two battery-electric variants priced at CNY 176,800 and CNY 186,800. With a focus on fast charging, AI-powered driving features, and high-performance electric propulsion, XPeng positions the vehicle as a technologically advanced option within the growing electric SUV segment.

Powertrain, Platform and Performance Specifications

The SUV measures either 4,771mm or 4,758mm in length, 1,920mm in width, and 1,650mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,890mm. Built with a rear-wheel-drive layout, the vehicle uses a single permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 218kW of power and 450Nm of torque. The system operates on an all-domain 800V silicon carbide platform combined with a 5C lithium-iron phosphate AI battery pack. Depending on the configuration, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in either 6.7 seconds or 6.4 seconds, reaches a top speed of 202km/h, and supports rapid charging that replenishes the battery from 10% to 80% state of charge in approximately 12 minutes.

AI Cockpit and Intelligent Driving Features

The vehicle integrates a digital cockpit architecture powered by an MT8676 high-performance chip and a Turing AI Chip delivering an effective computing capability of 750TOPS. This system enables intelligent functions such as Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP) and customized automated parking assistance. Optional Ultra SE and Ultra upgrade kits further expand the computing capability by integrating additional Turing AI chips, raising the total processing power to as much as 2,250TOPS in the highest configuration. These packages will support the Vision-Language-Action (VLA) 2.0 model scheduled for full rollout in April, expanding the SUV’s AI-driven driving and interaction capabilities.

The REEV version integrates a 55.8kWh battery combined with a 60-liter fuel tank, enabling a CLTC combined driving range of 1,704km and an EV-only range of 430km. In rapid-charge conditions, the system can add approximately 314km of range in about 12 minutes. The battery-electric versions provide a CLTC range of up to 625km, while a 10-minute fast charge can deliver approximately 442km of driving range, emphasizing the vehicle’s focus on high-efficiency charging performance and extended electric mobility capability.
