Harbinger introduced the Harbinger HC Series Cab during Work Truck Week 2026 in Indianapolis, presenting a medium-duty low cab forward (LCF) work truck aimed at commercial fleets. The model is available in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid configurations and is now open for orders. Designed for applications such as box trucks, flatbeds, and cargo transport, the vehicle focuses on maneuverability, extended cargo capability, and operational flexibility for urban and regional logistics operations.

Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Platform for Commercial Work Trucks

The Harbinger HC Series Cab uses a low cab forward architecture that allows longer cargo boxes to be installed on shorter wheelbases, improving maneuverability in urban environments while maintaining a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,000 pounds. The plug-in hybrid configuration integrates a gasoline range extender capable of delivering up to 500 miles of total range. Both electric and hybrid versions can also provide up to 15 kW of exportable power, allowing crews to operate tools and equipment directly from the truck at job sites.

Proprietary Electric Chassis and Expanded Safety Systems

The vehicle is built on Harbinger’s proprietary electric chassis platform, incorporating in-house developed systems for the powertrain, battery packs, steering, and braking components. Existing safety features include backup cameras with dynamic trajectory guidance, virtual bumper technology, and acoustic vehicle alerting systems. Following the company’s acquisition of Phantom AI, upcoming models will also integrate advanced driver assistance features such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping support.
