The Leapmotor B10 OTA update has been released only six months after the SUV entered the market, highlighting the company’s rapid software development cycle. The update focuses on improving driving efficiency, infotainment capability, and user customization. By adding new driving functions and smartphone connectivity, the software upgrade enhances the digital experience for B10 owners while refining several existing vehicle control and assistance features.
Driving Efficiency and Connectivity Enhancements
The most notable addition in the update is the One-Pedal driving function, which allows drivers to control acceleration and deceleration using only the accelerator pedal. This system also improves regenerative energy recovery, delivering smoother transitions during slowing and helping maximize efficiency. In addition, the B10 now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through both wired and wireless connections, expanding smartphone integration capabilities.
Improved Usability and Infotainment Performance
Drivers can now assign different functions such as ADAS controls and drive modes to steering-wheel buttons, offering a more personalized interface. The navigation system introduces a split-screen layout on the left side, enabling easier map viewing while running other applications. Infotainment performance is also improved through a Quick Start feature, while updates to presence detection alerts and smoother ACC and LCC responses enhance everyday driving stability.
