- Iveco introduces a global startup collaboration platform focused on transport innovation.
- The first challenge targets sustainable materials, AI-based design tools, and advanced manufacturing.
The Iveco Beyond Lab innovation platform was launched on March 10 as a new open innovation initiative designed to connect startups, innovators, and technology partners with the company’s transport and mobility ecosystem. Developed in collaboration with I3P – the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino in Italy – the initiative aims to accelerate the development of advanced technologies and practical solutions that can improve sustainability, product performance, and service capabilities across the commercial vehicle sector.
Startup Collaboration to Accelerate Transport Innovation
The Iveco Beyond Lab innovation platform strengthens the company’s open innovation strategy by enabling deeper collaboration with emerging technology companies worldwide. Through the program, Iveco identifies promising startup ideas and evaluates their potential for real-world industrial application. Selected solutions are tested and refined to enhance product quality, sustainability outcomes, and operational efficiency across Iveco’s transport solutions and industrial vehicle offerings.
First Global Challenge Focuses on Sustainable Materials and Design
The platform’s first startup challenge targets “Innovative materials and design approaches for sustainable mobility.” The initiative seeks startups developing advanced materials, AI-supported design tools, software-driven engineering solutions, and next-generation manufacturing technologies. In addition to technology development, the program also welcomes innovative business models capable of strengthening industrial ecosystems and supporting future mobility transformation across commercial transport markets.
