- The launch secured 1,857 truck orders while highlighting intelligent powertrains and advanced safety technologies.
The FAW Jiefang Yingteng transport truck lineup was officially introduced on March 7 through simultaneous launch events in Wuxi, Chengdu, and Shangqiu. The new truck series targets multiple logistics transport scenarios and expands the manufacturer’s portfolio of commercial vehicles designed for modern freight operations. The launch attracted strong market attention as logistics operators placed substantial orders, signaling strong demand for efficient and technologically advanced transport solutions in China’s commercial vehicle sector.
Versatile Logistics Platform for Multiple Transport Applications
The FAW Jiefang Yingteng transport truck lineup has been designed as a flexible logistics platform capable of serving seven major freight transport sectors. The truck range focuses on versatility, enabling operators to configure vehicles for different cargo and route requirements across regional and urban logistics networks. The manufacturer also confirmed that new energy variants are planned for future rollout, reflecting the broader industry transition toward lower-emission commercial vehicle technologies and diversified energy sources for heavy-duty transport.
Intelligent Powertrain and Integrated Safety Technologies
The Yingteng trucks incorporate an in-house developed powertrain from FAW Jiefang, supporting both natural gas and diesel configurations. Natural gas variants utilize the GS280 intelligent power system, while diesel models feature the GD300 system. These power units are paired with the company’s 6SM or 6DV series engines and a T-shift automated manual transmission, delivering a combined energy-saving rate of approximately three to five percent. The trucks also integrate modern driver-assistance and comfort technologies, including dual floating displays, AI-based speech interaction, fatigue monitoring, a 360-degree panoramic imaging system, and multiple active safety functions aimed at improving driver awareness and operational efficiency. During the launch events, the company secured orders totaling 1,857 Yingteng trucks from major logistics operators, highlighting strong early adoption of the new transport platform.
