The Lotus Technology hybrid SUV has entered the Chinese market as the company begins pre-sales for its new model called the For Me. Developed as a luxury performance-oriented family SUV, the vehicle represents the brand’s first hybrid offering and aims to combine everyday practicality with the driving excitement historically associated with Lotus vehicles. The launch reflects the company’s strategy to expand beyond pure electric models while addressing broader consumer demand for extended-range electrified vehicles.

Market Entry and Pricing Strategy

The For Me hybrid SUV is offered in two variants with pre-sale prices set at 528,000 yuan and 588,000 yuan. The vehicle is currently displayed at Lotus retail locations throughout China, allowing potential buyers to experience the model ahead of its official market launch. Deliveries are expected to begin before the end of March. According to the company, the vehicle is already marketed internationally under the name Eletre X, positioning the model as a premium electrified SUV designed to attract buyers seeking both luxury and long-distance driving capability.

Performance and Hybrid Architecture

The vehicle is built on the advanced 900V X-Hybrid architecture and features a 70 kWh high-capacity battery supplied by CATL. This battery enables a CLTC pure electric driving range of up to 420 kilometers. The model also supports 6C ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately eight minutes. When the fuel tank and battery are fully utilized together, the SUV delivers a combined driving range exceeding 1,400 kilometers, addressing range concerns often associated with electrified vehicles.

Smart Driving and High Performance

Performance remains a central focus of the Lotus Technology hybrid SUV. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, while maintaining a rapid 3.5-second sprint even when the battery charge is depleted. The model also incorporates Geely’s Afari Smart Driving H7 architecture and is powered by Nvidia’s Thor computing chip, enabling advanced Navigation on Autopilot functions for both highway and urban environments. The For Me is designed to allow drivers to embrace family-oriented lifestyles without sacrificing performance or the traditional driving enjoyment associated with the Lotus brand.
