The Triumph Motorcycles India sales milestone has crossed 1 lakh units on Indian roads, marking a major achievement for the British motorcycle brand. The company entered the Indian market in the second quarter of 2023 through a manufacturing and distribution partnership with Bajaj Auto, enabling rapid scale in one of the world’s largest two-wheeler markets.
Rapid Expansion Through Strategic Collaboration
The collaboration combines Triumph’s global engineering expertise with Bajaj Auto’s strong domestic manufacturing capabilities and distribution network. Since the partnership began, the brand has expanded its retail presence to more than 230 stores across over 200 towns throughout India.
This localized manufacturing and distribution model has helped the brand quickly penetrate the mid-capacity motorcycle segment, an area experiencing growing demand among Indian riders.
Triumph 400 Series Driving Global Exports
Motorcycles from the Triumph 400 platform are produced in India and exported to 18 international markets. Key destinations include Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan, and South Korea.
The export program highlights India’s role as a strategic production hub for the manufacturer’s global mid-capacity motorcycle lineup.
Strengthening Brand Presence Among Riders
Alongside product expansion, the company has actively built a riding community through events such as World of Triumph, Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler Rides, Bike Nights, and the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride.
Heritage and Motorsport Presence
Founded in 1902, Triumph Motorcycles is the largest motorcycle manufacturer from the United Kingdom. The brand also serves as the exclusive engine supplier for the Moto2 World Championship and set a Guinness World Record in 2023 for the greatest distance travelled on a motorcycle within 24 hours.
