The SK On next-generation battery technologies will be showcased at InterBattery 2026 in Seoul Special City from March 11 to 13, highlighting advancements aimed at improving energy density, cooling efficiency, and charging performance. The company plans to present multiple battery pack architectures designed to strengthen competitiveness in electric mobility applications.

Advanced Cell-to-Pack Architecture

The exhibition will feature several Cell-to-Pack (CTP) battery configurations that enhance packaging efficiency while reducing structural complexity. These designs help increase usable energy density and improve system-level cost competitiveness.

Key Pack Configurations on Display

Four pack formats will be introduced during the event.

  • Full-pouch Cell-to-Pack systems
  • Large-space cooling CTP packs
  • Pouch-integrated rectangular pack designs
  • Immersion cooling battery packs

Immersion Cooling and Fast-Charging Developments

The company will also introduce module-based and CTP-based immersion cooling solutions being developed together with SK enmove Co., Ltd. These systems are designed to enhance thermal stability and maintain performance under high power loads.

Next-Generation Battery Concepts

Several emerging battery technologies will also be presented, including 1,000Wh/L-class sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries, polymer oxide composite batteries, and lithium metal batteries. In addition, a rapid charging technology capable of increasing battery charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately seven minutes will be demonstrated, further expanding the portfolio of SK On next-generation battery technologies.
