- Suzuki introduces its first electric mini commercial van with a 257 km WLTC driving range.
- The vehicle combines an integrated eAxle system with advanced Smart Assist safety technologies.
The Suzuki e Every mini commercial BEV has officially launched in Japan as the first fully electric mini-commercial vehicle from Suzuki. Announced on March 9, the compact electric van uses a battery electric system jointly developed by Suzuki, Daihatsu Motor, and Toyota Motor. The vehicle itself is supplied on an OEM basis by Daihatsu and is designed to support efficient urban delivery and business transportation.
Electric Powertrain with Integrated eAxle System
The electric van uses an integrated eAxle system combining the motor, inverter, and transaxle into a single compact unit. This configuration enables strong torque delivery that surpasses the output of turbocharged mini vehicles while maintaining the practicality expected from a small commercial van.
In addition to improved acceleration and load capability, the drivetrain design helps deliver a quieter driving experience suitable for urban operations and frequent stop-and-go driving environments.
LFP Battery and Practical Driving Range
The vehicle is powered by a 36.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery designed to provide durability and cost efficiency. Under the WLTC testing cycle, the electric van achieves a driving range of 257 kilometers on a single charge.
Load Capacity and Variant Options
The compact cargo vehicle supports a maximum load capacity of 350 kilograms, enabling small businesses and logistics operators to transport goods efficiently. The lineup includes two seating configurations consisting of a two-seat cargo-focused model and a four-seat variant that provides additional passenger flexibility.
Safety Technologies and Market Positioning
The model incorporates Daihatsu’s Smart Assist preventive safety suite as standard equipment, bringing advanced driver assistance capabilities to the compact commercial vehicle segment. These features enhance driver awareness and support safer operation in dense urban environments.
Pricing for the Suzuki e Every mini commercial BEV starts at JPY 3,146,000 in Japan, positioning it as an accessible entry point into the electric light-commercial vehicle market.
