Minth is expanding its global footprint with the Minth Group Alabama manufacturing campus, a major investment aimed at strengthening automotive component production in the United States. Announced on March 6, the company plans to redevelop a former steelmaking site in Gadsden, Alabama, creating a large-scale manufacturing facility with a total investment of approximately USD 430 million.

Large-Scale Automotive Manufacturing Expansion

The Gadsden development will become the company’s largest production campus globally, covering nearly one million square feet of manufacturing space. The facility is expected to generate hundreds of jobs during its initial operational phase, with long-term employment potentially growing to around 1,325 positions as the site expands production capacity.

Supplying Major North American OEMs

The plant will manufacture plastic and aluminum components designed for vehicle structural and exterior applications. These components will support automotive manufacturers in the southeastern United States, including Hyundai’s operations in Montgomery, Alabama, and Kia’s production facility in West Point, Georgia.

Strengthening North American Operations

Minth Group Limited is a global supplier specializing in automotive trim and structural components, operating 78 manufacturing plants worldwide. Its regional business activities are managed through Minth North America Inc., headquartered in Wixom, Michigan, with additional facilities located in Michigan and Tennessee.

The new campus further reinforces the company’s supply capabilities for North American automakers while expanding advanced component manufacturing capacity in the region.
