On December 22, ferrule-less CNG tube and fitting manufacturing in India reached a major milestone with the commissioning of a new production line at Greenfuel Energy Solutions’ Manesar facility. This development strengthens domestic capability in advanced automotive components while supporting India’s push toward cleaner and more cost-efficient mobility solutions.
The newly commissioned line focuses on indigenised production of ferrule-less CNG tubes and fittings, developed to meet global performance and safety benchmarks. Established in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki India, the facility reflects growing OEM–supplier alignment to localise critical technologies within the country and reduce dependency on imported components.
Ferrule-less CNG tube and fitting manufacturing at scale

• The Manesar manufacturing line has been set up with an initial investment of INR 250 million, underscoring long-term confidence in India’s CNG vehicle ecosystem.

Designed for mass production, the line currently supports components for up to 100,000 vehicles, with clear provisions for future capacity expansion as demand grows. This ferrule-less CNG tube and fitting manufacturing setup uses torque-tightened connections, enabling consistent assembly quality across high volumes. The design simplifies installation while maintaining robust sealing performance, an important factor for safety-critical CNG applications in passenger vehicles.
