The GAC Hyptec A800 range-extended electric sedan has been officially introduced as a new flagship electrified model in China. Launched on March 4, the vehicle is offered in four variants with prices ranging from CNY 189,800 to CNY 299,800. The premium sedan combines long electric driving capability with a range-extender powertrain and advanced intelligent cockpit technology.
Vehicle Dimensions and Platform Architecture
The model measures 5,130mm in length, with a width of either 1,966mm or 1,998mm and a height of 1,500mm or 1,492mm depending on configuration. A wheelbase of 3,020mm positions the vehicle within the large executive sedan segment.
The vehicle is built on the next-generation X-Soul high-end architecture, designed to support electrified powertrains, intelligent driving technologies, and premium interior systems.
Range-Extended Powertrain and Performance
The sedan uses a 1.5T range-extender engine paired with electric propulsion to deliver strong performance and extended driving capability.

Smart Cockpit and Intelligent Driving Technology
The interior integrates the HarmonySpace 5 intelligent cockpit system, combining digital displays and advanced connectivity functions.
Digital Interface and Displays
The cockpit includes an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central infotainment display. Certain variants also feature a windshield head-up display that projects key driving information directly into the driver’s line of sight.
Advanced driver assistance is enabled through Huawei’s ADS 4 system. The top configuration incorporates a quad-LiDAR setup using 896-line sensors. This hardware supports Level 2++ assisted driving features such as Highway Navigation Cruise Assist, door-to-door automated navigation, and valet parking driving functions designed for complex urban scenarios.
