Quick Takeaways
  • ComfortDelGro opened a 27,400 sqm EV-focused engineering center in Singapore.
  • The facility supports EV servicing, charging, battery diagnostics, and technician training.

The ComfortDelGro electric vehicle engineering center officially opened on March 3, 2026, at 320 Ubi Road 3 in Singapore. Developed by ComfortDelGro through its subsidiary ComfortDelGro Engineering (CDGE), the five-story facility covers 27,400 square meters and significantly expands the group’s support capabilities for electric mobility.

Large-Scale EV Servicing Infrastructure

The new engineering hub is designed to support Singapore’s growing electric vehicle fleet with specialized services. The site includes more than 260 vehicle bays and 58 EV charging points, enabling large-scale servicing, charging, and diagnostics for modern electric vehicles.

In addition to general maintenance operations, the center supports advanced diagnostics and repair of high-voltage batteries and complex EV systems. Dedicated battery storage areas have also been integrated to safely manage battery handling and servicing requirements.

Training and Workforce Development

A key component of the facility is the ComfortDelGro Engineering Academy, which focuses on developing technical expertise for the transition toward electrified transport.

EV Specialist Safety Programs

The academy provides training programs including the Land Transport Authority’s EV Specialist Safety courses, equipping technicians with the skills required to work with high-voltage vehicle platforms and battery systems.

Phased Expansion of Services

Operations at the engineering center have already commenced, with additional specialized EV services scheduled to be introduced progressively through the second quarter of 2026 as electric mobility adoption continues to grow in Singapore.
