- Audi begins manufacturing the third-generation Q3 and Q3 Sportback in Brazil.
- The company invested BRL 50 million to upgrade the São José dos Pinhais facility.
The Audi Q3 production Brazil milestone was announced on March 3 as the automaker began building the new Q3 and Q3 Sportback at its São José dos Pinhais plant in Paraná. The facility has resumed operations following upgrades required to support the third-generation models and prepare the production line for updated design and technology features.
New generation design and interior technology
The latest Q3 generation introduces Audi’s current global design language, characterized by cleaner surfaces and a more minimalist appearance. Key exterior updates include a redesigned Singleframe grille featuring 2D Audi rings, slimmer headlights inspired by the Q6 and Q5 models, and refreshed rear lighting elements.
Digital cockpit and interior refinement
Inside the cabin, the SUV adopts a digital stage cockpit concept with a curved panoramic display integrating the Virtual Cockpit and the Audi MMI system. Updated materials, finishes, and improved ergonomics are aimed at enhancing comfort and overall interior refinement for drivers and passengers.
Plant investment and production timeline
Production of the previous Q3 generation was paused in early 2025 to allow manufacturing adaptations. The company invested approximately BRL 50 million to modernize the plant for the new vehicle program. Since the start of operations in 1999, total investments at the Paraná facility have reached roughly BRL 600 million. Vehicles from Audi Q3 production Brazil are scheduled to arrive at dealerships across the country in the second half of May.
