GAC has introduced the GAC S7 hybrid crossover in the Russian market, expanding its premium electrified vehicle lineup. Announced on March 3, the model will be offered in two trim levels with a starting price of RUB 5,699,000. The vehicle combines hybrid efficiency with advanced connectivity, safety technology, and long-range capability designed for modern passenger mobility.
Hybrid Powertrain and EV+ Platform Architecture
The vehicle is built on the EV+ modular platform and features an all-wheel-drive hybrid configuration. The powertrain integrates a 156 hp gasoline engine functioning as a generator along with two electric motors, delivering a combined system output of 340 hp.
This configuration enables the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds while maintaining efficiency through its hybrid-electric propulsion system.
Battery Performance and Long Driving Range
The electrified powertrain is supported by a 36.3 kWh battery pack designed for both performance and extended driving range. The vehicle offers a combined range of 867 km, including up to 153 km operating purely on electric power.
Fast charging capability allows the battery to replenish from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 18 minutes, supporting practical long-distance usage.
Interior Technology and Driver Assistance Features
The GAC S7 hybrid crossover integrates a technology-focused cabin equipped with a 15.6-inch multimedia system powered by the ADiGO 6.0 interface. The infotainment setup is complemented by a 12-speaker audio system and 50 W wireless charging for enhanced in-vehicle convenience.
Advanced Safety and ADAS Systems
The model includes a comprehensive safety package featuring 10 airbags and multiple driver assistance technologies. Key systems include adaptive cruise control, active braking assistance (AEB), a 360-degree surround view system, and additional Level-2 automated driving capabilities.
