The Hyundai Piracicaba plant in Brazil will begin assembling a third locally produced model later this year as the company strengthens its regional manufacturing footprint. New Model Targets Emerging Market Segment
The upcoming vehicle will be positioned between the HB20 hatchback and the Creta SUV. By filling the gap between traditional hatchbacks and compact SUVs, Hyundai aims to capture an emerging consumer segment seeking a balance between urban practicality and crossover-style versatility.
Plant Capacity and Production Strategy
The Piracicaba facility, inaugurated in 2012, has undergone production upgrades that increase its annual capacity beyond 215,000 units. According to Hyundai, the expanded manufacturing capability supports the company’s global objective of producing 5.55 million vehicles annually by 2030.
Investment Plan Supporting Future Growth
