- Tutaev Motor Plant will start pulley block production in March 2026 to enhance winch traction performance.
- The pulley block is engineered to double the pulling capacity of heavy vehicle winches rated at 20 to 30 tons.
On March 2, KAMAZ subsidiary Tutaev Motor Plant announced plans to begin pulley block production in March 2026 at its facility in the Yaroslavl region. The new component is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of heavy vehicle winches by significantly increasing their traction capacity. The initiative strengthens Tutaev Motor Plant’s role in supporting advanced mechanical subsystems for commercial vehicle applications.
New Pulley Block Production for Enhanced Traction Capacity
Tutaev Motor Plant will manufacture a newly developed pulley block intended for use with heavy vehicle winches rated between 20 and 30 tons. The component is engineered to double the effective pulling capacity of these winching systems, improving performance in demanding operational environments such as recovery, logistics, and heavy-duty transport.
Engineering Focus and Performance Objectives
The pulley block production program emphasizes durability, load-bearing strength, and precision machining. By optimizing mechanical leverage within the winch assembly, the system enables higher traction capacity without requiring major redesigns to existing heavy vehicle winches. This approach ensures compatibility with current platforms assembled by KAMAZ.
Integrated Manufacturing at Tutaev Motor Plant
The full production cycle will be executed at Tutaev Motor Plant using its established industrial infrastructure. Manufacturing activities will be distributed across the custom equipment and machine tool shop, the mechanical assembly shop, and the iron foundry.
Production Workflow and Final Assembly
Component casting and initial shaping will take place in the iron foundry, followed by machining and precision finishing in the mechanical assembly shop. Final assembly of the pulley block units will be completed in the custom equipment and machine tool shop, ensuring quality control at each stage of the pulley block production process.
Serial Delivery Timeline to KAMAZ PJSC Assembly Line
Serial deliveries of the newly developed pulley block are scheduled to commence in March 2026. The units will be supplied directly to the KAMAZ PJSC assembly line, where they will be integrated into commercial vehicle configurations requiring high-capacity heavy vehicle winches.
This production launch reinforces Tutaev Motor Plant’s strategic contribution to advanced components and subsystems supporting the heavy-duty commercial vehicle segment in Russia.
