- Huawei HIMA vehicle deliveries rose 31% year-on-year in February despite seasonal holiday disruptions.
- Aito SUV models remained the primary growth driver within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance portfolio.
Huawei HIMA vehicle deliveries continued to demonstrate strong momentum in February, highlighting the expanding footprint of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance across the China automotive market. According to data released Monday, the alliance delivered 28,212 vehicles during the month, marking a 31.11% year-on-year increase. While this represented a sequential decline compared to January’s 57,915 units, seasonal factors played a significant role. The Spring Festival holiday, which occurred between February 15 and 23 in 2026, temporarily affected production schedules and logistics across the industry.
February performance amid seasonal impact
Huawei HIMA vehicle deliveries reflected resilience despite a 51.29% month-on-month decline caused by holiday-related slowdowns. The China automotive market traditionally experiences production interruptions during the Spring Festival period, influencing both manufacturing output and retail deliveries. In contrast to 2025, when the holiday largely fell in January, this year’s mid-to-late February timing shifted part of the seasonal impact into the second month of the year.
Year-to-date growth trajectory
From January through February, Huawei HIMA vehicle deliveries totaled 86,127 units, representing a 52.43% year-on-year increase. This cumulative performance underscores sustained consumer demand and strengthening distribution efficiency within the alliance’s multi-brand structure.
Aito SUV models driving premium growth
As the flagship premium EV brand under the alliance, Aito SUV models continued to anchor overall performance. Cumulative deliveries exceeded 58,000 units during the first two months of the year, with approximately 18,000 units delivered in February alone. The consistent traction of Aito SUV models reinforces the alliance’s positioning in the premium EV brand segment.
Model lineup expansion
Aito focuses primarily on the SUV segment and currently offers the Aito M5, Aito M7, Aito M8, and Aito M9. The portfolio breadth allows the brand to address multiple price points and performance tiers within the rapidly evolving China automotive market.
Multi-brand alliance strategy
The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance operates through five automotive brands, combining technology integration with established manufacturing capabilities. These include BAIC Group’s Stelato, Seres Group’s AITO, Chery’s Luxeed, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group’s Maextro, and SAIC Motor’s Shangjie. Through this collaborative framework, (Huawei) leverages its digital and electrification expertise to accelerate vehicle innovation and market penetration.
Milestone achievements and future outlook
On October 28 last year, cumulative deliveries under the alliance surpassed the 1 million-unit milestone, achieved just 43 months after the first vehicle launch. This pace reflects the rapid scaling capability behind Huawei HIMA vehicle deliveries and the sustained expansion of its premium EV brand ecosystem. With continued electrification adoption and expanding Aito SUV models, the alliance remains positioned for further growth across passenger car segments in China.
