Scheduled for release in the first half of the year, the model is being developed and produced at the Goiana Automotive Hub in Pernambuco, Brazil. This milestone reinforces the Stellantis Bio-Hybrid program as a central pillar of the company’s regional electrification roadmap, combining hybrid efficiency with the country’s established ethanol infrastructure.
48V MHEV Technology in the Stellantis Bio-Hybrid Program
The new flex mild-hybrid vehicle under the Stellantis Bio-Hybrid program integrates a multifunctional electric machine that replaces both the alternator and starter motor. This system provides additional torque to support the internal combustion engine while also generating energy to recharge a 48V lithium-ion battery. Operating alongside the conventional electrical architecture, the setup enhances overall vehicle efficiency without compromising compatibility with ethanol-based fuels.

New, dedicated wiring harnesses for the flex mild-hybrid vehicle are being produced at Stellantis’ Jaboatão components facility. The Bio-Hybrid system itself was developed by Stellantis’ TechMobility center, reinforcing local engineering capabilities. By combining regional R&D with localized manufacturing, the Stellantis Bio-Hybrid program strengthens supply chain resilience and accelerates technology deployment across Brazil.
Investment Strategy and 2026 Model Pipeline
As part of its broader regional strategy, Stellantis reiterated its BRL 32 billion investment plan in South America.
