Denza D9 PHEV Launched in Philippines with 406 PS and 980 km Range

The Denza D9 PHEV has officially entered the Philippines market, marking a significant expansion of premium electrified mobility in Southeast Asia. Launched with an introductory price of PHP 3,998,000 for the first 300 customers, the Denza D9 PHEV positions itself as a full-size luxury MPV combining performance, efficiency, and advanced driver assistance technologies. Alongside the vehicle debut, Denza also inaugurated its first flagship dealerships in Alabang, Makati, San Juan, and Cebu to strengthen its retail footprint.

Dimensions and Luxury MPV Positioning

The Denza D9 PHEV stands out in the Philippines luxury MPV segment with substantial proportions and a spacious cabin layout. Measuring 5,250 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,920 mm in height, along with a 3,110 mm wheelbase, the vehicle is engineered to deliver generous interior comfort for passengers across all rows.

The extended wheelbase supports enhanced legroom and executive-style seating, aligning the Denza D9 PHEV with premium multi-purpose vehicles aimed at family buyers and business-class transport users. Its full-size architecture reinforces road presence while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency.

BYD DM-i Plug-In Hybrid System Performance

At the core of the Denza D9 PHEV is the BYD DM-i plug-in hybrid system, now in its fifth generation. The electrified powertrain integrates a 130 PS gasoline engine with dual electric motors to deliver a combined output of 406 PS and 681 Nm of torque. This configuration enables the luxury MPV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, balancing performance with efficiency.

BYD Blade Battery and Electric Range

The system is supported by a 40 kWh BYD Blade battery using lithium iron phosphate chemistry. With this setup, the Denza D9 PHEV achieves up to 180 km of pure electric range, while total combined driving range reaches 980 km. The integration of the BYD Blade battery enhances durability, safety, and long-term thermal stability.

Charging Capabilities and Energy Flexibility

The Denza D9 PHEV offers multiple charging solutions to suit urban and long-distance users. DC fast charging supports up to 80 kW, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes. For home and destination charging, the vehicle supports 11 kW AC charging.

Vehicle-to-Load and Practical Features

In addition to conventional charging, the Denza D9 PHEV includes 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load functionality, allowing external devices to draw power directly from the battery. This capability enhances versatility for outdoor applications and emergency use scenarios.

Safety and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems

Safety and technology integration play a central role in the Denza D9 PHEV package. The vehicle is equipped with nine airbags and the DiPilot advanced driver assistance system, delivering features designed to improve situational awareness and reduce collision risks.

The expansion will include two plug-in hybrid SUVs, the B5 and B8, scheduled for introduction in March, followed by the Z9 GT high-performance luxury shooting brake later in the year.
