Audi Mexico Expands Charging Access Through Tesla Supercharger Network

Audi Mexico has announced its integration into the Tesla Supercharger network, marking a significant expansion of fast-charging access for its electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Starting February 9, customers can utilize 19 charging sites equipped with 88 Superchargers that are enabled for third-party vehicles and compatible with the NACS/J3400 standard. This move strengthens Audi Mexico’s charging footprint and enhances long-distance and urban mobility flexibility for its growing electrified portfolio.

NACS DC Adapter Enables Seamless Compatibility

To ensure technical compatibility with the Tesla Supercharger network, Audi Mexico developed a dedicated NACS DC adapter. This solution allows its electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to connect efficiently with NACS/J3400 fast-charging connectors.

Availability and Model Integration

  • The NACS DC adapter will be available for purchase at Audi e-tron dealerships in Mexico beginning March 2026.
  • It will support Q6 e-tron and A6 e-tron models from 2025 onward.
  • For 2026 and 2027 model-year vehicles, the adapter will be included as standard equipment at no additional cost.

Strengthening a Premium Charging Ecosystem

This collaboration complements Audi Mexico’s existing agreements with other infrastructure operators, including Evergo, as part of its broader strategy to build a premium charging ecosystem. By combining multiple network partnerships, Audi Mexico ensures broader geographic coverage, enhanced convenience, and greater reliability for drivers of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
