SMK Nova Helmets India launch marks the brand’s latest push into the premium performance segment with the introduction of the Nova Solid and Nova Track variants for domestic riders. Now available across authorised dealerships and motorcycle accessory outlets nationwide, the new series is positioned to cater to enthusiasts seeking certified protection, aerodynamic stability, and contemporary styling for both city and highway use.
The Nova range, earlier offered in global markets, enters India with internationally aligned safety credentials and upgraded features. With pricing starting at ₹4,000, SMK aims to address growing demand in the motorcycle helmet India market for globally benchmarked safety standards combined with value-driven pricing.

SMK Nova Helmets India Launch Focuses on Global Safety Standards

Both Nova Solid and Nova Track are built using an Energy Impact Resistant Thermoplastic (EIRT) shell paired with a multi density EPS liner engineered for progressive impact absorption. The models are certified under ECE 22.06 certification, DOT certification, and ISI certification, aligning with regulatory requirements in India as well as key overseas markets.

Certified Construction and Impact Protection

The EIRT shell structure is designed to balance rigidity and controlled deformation during impact scenarios. The multi density EPS liner enhances energy dispersion, helping manage varying impact forces. By integrating ECE 22.06 certification as standard, SMK strengthens its compliance with one of the most stringent global helmet safety protocols, reinforcing credibility in the premium motorcycle helmet India category.

Visor, Ventilation and Rider-Centric Features

The helmets are equipped with an optically corrected, scratch-resistant visor fitted with a Pinlock 30 visor insert as standard, addressing fogging concerns in diverse riding conditions. A one-touch quick-release mechanism enables convenient visor removal for cleaning or replacement, supporting ease of maintenance.

Comfort, Airflow and Practical Design

Ventilation is managed through:
  • Chin vents to channel fresh air directly towards the visor and facial area
  • Top air intakes designed to create positive airflow at varying riding speeds
  • Rear exhaust ports engineered to expel warm air and maintain internal temperature balance
The interior features a breathable, hypoallergenic liner that is removable and washable. The design also accommodates eyeglass users and integrates wind protectors and nose deflectors, enhancing comfort during extended rides. Both Nova Solid and Nova Track are offered in two shell sizes covering XS to XXL.

Variants, Colours and SMK Helmets Price in India

The Nova Track is distinguished by track-inspired graphic decals and is available in seven colour options, including chrome-accented finishes in gloss and matte themes. The Nova Solid adopts a cleaner, minimalist design language with five single-tone colour choices. A pink option features an iridescent finish that shifts between pink and violet hues under changing light conditions.
The SMK Helmets price for the Nova Solid starts at ₹4,000, while the Nova Track is priced from ₹4,300. Both variants are distributed through the authorised network of STUDDS Accessories Ltd., the parent company of SMK Helmets.
Sidhartha Bhushan Khurana, Managing Director of STUDDS Accessories Ltd., commented that the introduction reflects rising rider awareness regarding certified protection and modern styling preferences. He stated that the Nova series is engineered to deliver internationally benchmarked safety along with aerodynamic stability suited to urban commutes and highway touring.
STUDDS Accessories Ltd. reports a combined annual manufacturing capacity of 9.04 million units and sales of approximately 7.10 million helmets in Fiscal 2024. The company’s Studds and SMK brands are present in more than 70 countries, with the SMK brand introduced in 2016. The SMK Nova Helmets India launch further consolidates the company’s presence in the certified performance helmet segment, responding to evolving consumer expectations around safety, design, and value.
