  • Company strengthens presence in Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal.
Greaves Electric Mobility reported a strong performance in the electric two-wheeler sales segment during Q3 FY26, recording a 40% quarter-on-quarter increase with more than 18,000 units registered on the Vahan portal. The growth has lifted Greaves Electric Mobility to a 5% national E2W market share, positioning the company among the top six players in India’s rapidly expanding EV market. The improved performance reflects sharper execution, wider retail reach, and growing consumer acceptance of its electric scooter portfolio across key states.

Electric Two-Wheeler Sales Drive Market Share Gains

The company’s electric two-wheeler sales momentum was largely supported by strong traction in select regional markets. According to Vahan registrations, Greaves Electric Mobility secured a leadership position in Bihar with a 21.5% share, underlining its competitive pricing and distribution depth in the state.

Stronghold in High-Volume States

Beyond Bihar, the company commands around 13% market share across Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal. Collectively, these three states contribute nearly 21% of India’s total electric two-wheeler volumes, making them strategically significant. Recent product introductions and an expanding dealer network further accelerated E2W market share gains, enabling stronger penetration in both urban and semi-urban markets.

Electric Three-Wheeler Segment Records Best Quarter

Greaves Electric Mobility also reported its highest-ever quarterly performance in the electric three-wheeler segment, with Vahan-registered volumes rising 33% quarter-on-quarter. This surge reflects rising demand in the last-mile mobility and cargo transport segments, where electric three-wheelers continue to replace conventional fuel-powered vehicles.

Eltra City Xtra Regional Rollout

The phased introduction of the Eltra City Xtra across North, East and South India played a central role in driving E3W sales growth. By adopting a calibrated regional rollout strategy, the company ensured supply alignment with demand clusters, strengthening its presence in high-potential corridors for commercial electric mobility solutions.
“Q3 FY26 reflects strong execution of our strategy by the entire team, which has strengthened our position as a Top 6 player in India's electric two-wheeler market,” said Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility.

Ampere Nexus and Product Endurance Validation

A key contributor to electric two-wheeler sales growth has been the Ampere Nexus electric scooter, powered by LFP battery chemistry known for enhanced thermal stability and durability. The company has actively showcased the scooter’s real-world reliability through long-distance endurance initiatives.

Record-Breaking Performance Runs

The Ampere Nexus completed a Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari journey spanning over 10,000 km and successfully climbed Shipki La Pass at 13,000 feet. These endurance achievements earned recognition in both the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records, reinforcing consumer confidence in battery longevity and range performance under diverse terrain conditions.
Looking ahead, Greaves Electric Mobility plans to further expand its retail footprint in North and West India while consolidating its gains in the South and East. The company is also exploring export opportunities, building on its existing operations in Nepal. With more than 500 service and retail touchpoints nationwide, Greaves Electric Mobility aims to strengthen its competitive standing as electric two-wheeler sales and electric three-wheeler adoption continue to rise across India’s EV market.
