Quick Takeaways
  • Mahindra ADAS will integrate Mobileye SuperVision and Surround systems across six upcoming models from 2027.
  • The partnership expands to higher-level ADAS platforms powered by EyeQ6H chips and REM mapping intelligence.
Mahindra ADAS strategy takes a major leap forward as Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has selected Mobileye Global Inc.’s SuperVision and Surround advanced driver assistance systems for at least six upcoming vehicle models, with production targeted to begin in 2027. The collaboration deepens the long-standing relationship between the two companies and positions Mahindra among the early adopters of next-generation ADAS India market solutions across multiple segments.
Under this programme, Mobileye will serve as a Tier-1 supplier, deploying its latest EyeQ6 High system-on-chip across several Mahindra vehicles intended for India and export markets. The move signals a shift toward more integrated and scalable advanced driver assistance systems designed to support higher safety ratings and enhanced driving convenience.

Mahindra ADAS Platform Built on EyeQ6H and Integrated Architecture

The upcoming Mahindra ADAS suite will be powered by Mobileye’s EyeQ6H chip, enabling centralized processing within a single electronic control unit developed by Mobileye. Both Mobileye SuperVision and Mobileye Surround ADAS solutions will combine perception systems, Road Experience Management (REM) mapping technology, driving policy, driver monitoring system, occupant monitoring, and automated parking features into one consolidated architecture.

SuperVision: Multi-Camera High-Performance ADAS

The SuperVision system is engineered with 11 cameras, optional radar units, and dual EyeQ6H processors. It is designed to enable point-to-point navigate-on-pilot capabilities under defined operational conditions. In addition, it supports advanced parking functions and continuous driver monitoring, aligning with evolving Level 2 ADAS and supervised autonomous driving technology requirements in premium utility vehicles.

Surround ADAS: Highway-Focused Hands-Off Capability

The Surround ADAS configuration utilizes five cameras, multiple radars, and a single EyeQ6H chip. It is intended to deliver hands-off, eyes-on highway driving under specified conditions, alongside parking assistance and monitoring systems. This setup offers a scalable pathway for Mahindra ADAS deployment across varied price segments while maintaining system efficiency.

Rising ADAS India Market and Regulatory Push

The ADAS India market has witnessed accelerating demand, supported by increasing consumer awareness of safety technologies and regulatory frameworks such as Bharat NCAP. As safety ratings become a stronger purchase criterion, automakers are expanding the adoption of advanced driver assistance systems to meet both compliance and competitive positioning goals.
Mahindra and Mobileye have previously collaborated on EyeQ4M and EyeQ6L-based systems currently deployed in Indian models. The new nomination extends this cooperation into more advanced platforms, signaling readiness for higher-level driver assistance features in upcoming vehicle generations.
Amnon Shashua, President and CEO of Mobileye, said the agreement reflects Mahindra’s focus on advanced safety technologies and Mobileye’s continued investment in India as a localisation and production hub.
Mobileye, listed on Nasdaq, develops autonomous driving technology and advanced driver assistance systems adopted by global automakers, and the expanded Mahindra ADAS programme further strengthens its footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets.
