Jeep Cherokee Hybrid Mexico Production Begins at Toluca Plant

On February 9, the first Jeep Cherokee Hybrid Mexico unit rolled off the production line at the Stellantis Toluca Complex, marking a key milestone for the brand’s electrified SUV strategy in the country. The start of production reinforces Mexico’s growing role in Stellantis’ global manufacturing and export network.

Jeep Cherokee Hybrid Mexico manufacturing strategy

The Toluca facility will operate as a dedicated manufacturing and export hub for the Jeep Cherokee Hybrid, making it the fourth Jeep model produced locally after Compass, Wagoneer S, and Recon. The plant is currently the only site producing the Cherokee HV for the domestic market, underlining its strategic importance.

Market rollout and portfolio impact

The hybrid SUV is scheduled to reach dealerships in the first quarter of 2026. With the addition of the Cherokee Hybrid, Jeep now offers the most complete SUV lineup in Mexico, expanding customer choice across conventional, electric, and hybrid powertrain options while strengthening its competitive position in the local market.
